Terms of service.
1. Who we are
advanceops.ai is operated by AdvanceOps Inc., an Ontario corporation. References to "we", "us", and "our" mean AdvanceOps Inc. References to "you" mean any visitor or prospective client using this site.
2. Use of this site
You may use this site to read about our services, contact us, and book a discovery call. You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or third-party personal information through our forms.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any part of the site or attempt to bypass security controls.
- Use any automated system to scrape or republish substantial portions of the site without our written consent.
3. Information on this site
Outcome figures, benchmarks, and timelines on advanceops.ai are described as targets drawn from public research (McKinsey, Gartner, Harvard Business Review, Statistics Canada) and from the technical capability of the systems we build. They are illustrative only and do not constitute a guarantee. Actual results for any engagement are agreed in writing in a Statement of Work, and are validated against a measured baseline during the audit phase.
4. Audit, build, and retainer engagements
If you engage us, your engagement is governed by a separate Statement of Work signed by both parties, which sets out scope, deliverables, success metrics, fees, payment terms, timeline, and assumptions. In case of any conflict between these terms and a signed Statement of Work, the Statement of Work controls.
In general, our standard terms are:
- Audit: $5,000 CAD flat fee, two-week phase, payable on signing. Deliverable is a written operations diagnostic and a fixed quote for a build. Audit fee is credited toward the build if you continue.
- Build: $18,000 to $35,000 CAD flat fee, scoped during the audit and quoted in writing before signing. Payment is split into milestones: signing, pilot week, and rollout.
- Operate retainer: Optional. Starts at $1,500 CAD/month, scoped to the system in your Statement of Work. 30 days' notice to cancel.
- Risk reversal: If the agreed pilot-week success metrics are not met, we do not move to rollout. You owe the build fee. You do not owe the operate retainer. You retain all work product, code, and documentation produced to that point on the same ownership terms set out in section 5.
5. Ownership of work product
On payment of all fees due, you own the deliverables produced for your engagement, including code, configurations, prompts, and documentation, with the exception of:
- Our pre-existing tooling, internal libraries, and engagement methodology, which remain our property and are licensed to you on a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free basis for use in your own operations.
- Third-party software, APIs, and services used inside the system you have your own licensing relationship with.
6. Confidentiality
We will treat all non-public business information you share with us as confidential and use it only to scope, deliver, and support the engagement. On request, we sign a separate NDA before any commercial discussion. We expect the same treatment of any non-public information we share with you about our methodology and pricing.
7. Data handling
How we handle personal and operational data is described in our privacy policy. For engagements involving regulated data (PIPEDA, HIPAA, etc.), we sign a Data Processing Agreement before any data is touched.
8. Warranties and disclaimers
We will perform every engagement with reasonable skill and care. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we provide this site, our content, and any free deliverables on an "as is" basis with no implied warranties. Specific warranties for paid engagements are set out in your Statement of Work.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with this site or any engagement is limited to the fees you have actually paid to us under the relevant Statement of Work in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data, regardless of the theory of liability.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your misuse of the site or from information you submit through it that you do not have the right to share.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the courts of Ontario, subject to any binding arbitration provision in a signed Statement of Work.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one on this page, with the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be flagged where appropriate.
